The legislative building of Ogu Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State has been burnt down by suspected hoodlums.
Eyewitnesses said that the inferno which raised down the entire building started in the late hours of the night at the close of work.
The Council Chairman, Maureen Tamuno, told Channels Television that she was shocked at the incident which according to her was done by her detractors.
She wondered why people would resort to destroying public property in the name of playing politics.
The security man on duty that evening has been taken in for questioning by the Police.
