vlcsnap-2014-05-07-11h14m33s178The President, Initiative for Inspiration and Development of Young Nigerians, Emmanuel Anene has said there are misleading informations between the Commissioner of Education and the principal of Girls Government Secondary School, Chibok on the number of girls that were abducted.

He said that it is not the duty of the Commissioner of Education to give information on the number of girls missing rather it is the duty of the principal, adding that whatever information is given out, is what the security operatives will work with.

He made this known while speaking on Channels Television’s breakfast programme, Sunrise Daily in Abuja, Mr. Anene insisted that the principal should know the number of students that were present in school and those that were absent.

Mr. Anene questioned the security measures that were put in place to protect the girls while writing their exams, “The adequate security according to the principal is four policemen who are there by the day and disappear by night”.

In terms of response, Mr. Anene noted that the government is not doing enough in the release of the abducted girls because they are working with misleading information. “Nigerians believe that the government are not doing enough because of the wrong informations they are given”.

He further opined that security operatives be questioned, adding that in a state of emergency that was declared by President Goodluck Jonathan 200+ girls could not have been moved without passing of information.
