Folusho Phillips @ WEFAThe Chairman, Nigerian Economic Summit Group, NESG, Folusho Phillips, on Thursday expressed his frustration with the abduction of over 200 schoolgirls by members of the Boko Haram sect in Chibok, Borno State.

The fight against the insurgents is “almost like fighting an unknown, unseen enemy” he said, maintaining that “you can bring all the forces, you can get all the kind of support that you imagine that you need but where do you go? Who do you attack? Who do you go to? I feel extremely overwhelmed in this, he said.

He further suggested that diplomatic channels between neighbouring countries be opened to secure partnership against the terrorists.

In an interview with Channels Television on the side-line of the World Economic Forum on Africa, in Abuja, Phillips said the situation is “extremely worrying; it’s almost like a dampener.”

He further cautioned citizens and advocates of #BringBackOurGirls not to mix the issue of terrorism with economic development, adding that “there are two issues here; the issue about children, about security, about all the implications of having our girls away and we must not confuse that with what’s happening as far as WEF is concerned.”
