Arrest Illegal Naval SchoolThe Police has paraded Commodore Allen Edema, the Proprietor and the Commandant of the illegal Nigerian Merchant Navy Maritime and Petroleum Security and Safety Corps Training School, located in Idah, Kogi State.

While parading the suspects at the State Police Headquarters, Lokoja, the Kogi State Police Commissioner, Sai’du Madawaki, said that the arrest was made possible owing to the continuation of security and crime prevention strategy of the Police in the state.

Briefing the media, Mr. Sai’du Madawaki said that all the suspects paraded would be charged to court after the completion of their investigation.

The suspect, who is the Proprietor and the Commandant of the said illegal school, was paraded in company of his deputy, Captain Reuben Maji Ojogbene. He told Channels Television how the training school started, insisting that the school was operating legally, and that what the Joint Task Force had done was illegal.

He said that the school’s top management had earlier held a meeting with the Minister for Transport on the instance of the Vice President.

The Police also paraded robbery suspects from the Kogi State University Ayingba, and other suspected robbers for allegedly involving in various criminal activities.

The Police said that they were all arrested the night they went out to rob, during which one of them was gun down by the Police.

At the Police B Division in Felele, the Police also paraded some suspects who were caught with a tanker truck of substance suspected to be crude oil. Ishaya Musa from Kaduna State, and Raphael Samson a mechanic from Anambra were caught with the truck.
