amosun_waveThe newly elected Executive Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State was inaugurated in Abeokuta on Sunday, with Governor Ibikunle Amosun giving assurances that the party would work towards uniting all members.

Speaking at the ceremony held at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, the Governor also charged the newly inaugurated State Executive members and all party members to continue to pursue harmony within the party and ensure no member of the fold is lost.

Amosun insisted that the loss of any members is unacceptable, calling on members to endure that they reach out to those aggrieved among them.

The Governor appreciated the national leadership of the party, as well as members of the Appeals Committee for standing on the side of truth, justice and fairness, which according to him culminated into the inauguration of the new executive.

The new Ogun State APC Chairman, Roqeeb Adeniji, appreciated the members for electing the new executive and asked for their continued support.

Adeniji noted that the APC, being a democratically inclined party, may have gone through some minor challenges but it had become more united and formidable to perform creditably well in any election.

He also called for the unrelenting support of party members and urged them to ensure that they support the state executive to create an atmosphere of peace that would engender harmony and re-unite the aggrieved members.

The chairman challenged members to persistently work towards reconciling with aggrieved members, as “in any organization, especially an organization as ours, there are bound to be minor misunderstandings.

“I am bold to say today that the party is now strong and well-positioned to perform creditably well in any election in the state and beyond,” Adeniji added.
