Ayo FayoseThe Governor-elect in Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose has said he would want to be like Obafemi Awolowo by way of his political actions, expressing his desire to be respected like the political icon.

Fayose, on Sunday addressed journalists following his victory at the polls in Ekiti State, promising to run an all-inclusive government that Ekiti people will be proud of.

He extended the hand of fellowship to the incumbent governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi and the Labour Party candidate, Mr Opeyemi Bamidele.

“I assure everyone that contested with me and has conceded and accepted me as the governor elect that I will work with all of them.

“We will recall that it is still Ekiti, that homogeneous state where we speak the same language and our communities end with Ekiti, that is, there is no community in Ekiti that does not end with the word Ekiti. The government belongs to all of us.

“Four years is a very short time in the life of any administration. i want to let them know that these four years will be four years of all of us in government. There will be no winner and no loser,” he said.

Mr Fayose also said he would work with Fayemi on all uncompleted projects and ensure that they are finished and not abandoned as is the trend when new governments take over office.

He also said he would tar all untarred roads in Ado Ekiti in two years and pay civil servants on 21 of every month.
