Speaking to the management of the Ekiti state’s University Teaching Hospital School of Midwifery Ado Ekiti, the governor stressed the need for private organisations collaboration with the state government so as to improve health service delivery in the state.
Dr Kayode who was represented by the Head of Service, Bunmi Famosaya, further charged the state government at all cadres to provide enabling environment for private bodies to perform their expected social responsibilities in the state.
The Chairman, Board of the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Dr Kayode Akinlade in his remarks confirmed that efforts are underway in ensuring expeditious accreditation of the School of Midwifery in the institution before the expiration of the present administration.
The Chief Medical Director, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Kolawole Ogundipe also pointed out efforts of the government in ensuring that the School of Nursing and Midwifery is given a face lift, which includes the renovation of the administrative blocks.
He added that the school was under the Ministry of Health but now transferred to the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital for effective management. He, therefore, appealed to the state government to give more attention to the school.
