The judiciary workers nationwide bemoan the neglect of their welfare by the executive arm of government and have embarked on a nationwide strike,although Anambra State still have reasons to smile.
Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, has distributed twenty one cars to the judiciary workers of the Customary Court of Appeal on grade level 14, 15 and 16.
Presenting the cars at the helipad section of the governor’s lodge Amawbia, the Governor says he is committed to the welfare of the judiciary workers for speedy dispensation of justice which will keep the state on a smooth sail of administrative excellence.
Also the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Peter Umeadi, says the gesture from the state executive will motivate the staff who are already thorough bred Judiciary administrators.
The Secretary to the state government, Mr. Oseloka Obaze, while commending the state governor says the welfare of judiciary workers is a top most priority of the present administration.
Though the judiciary workers refused to speak on camera about the ongoing strike, they pledged their loyalty to the National Executive Union.
