idris_wadaKogi State Governor, Captain Idris Wada, while swearing-in newly appointed commissioners, charged them to be role models and agents of change for the betterment of the state.

Governor Wada, who stated this in Lugard House, Lokoja, warned the new commissioners that they could be sacked if they perform below expectation.

Governor Wada told the newly appointed commissioners to consider their appointment as a call to duty and service to humanity, and charged the second term commissioners to re-dedicate themselves to do more for the state.

He also noted that the transformation agenda of the present administration was premised on four cardinal points namely, free education, agriculture, health and infrastructure development.

He urged the commissioners to imbibe the spirit of accountability, probity, transparency and hard work to ensure the realization of the agenda for betterment of the people of Kogi.

The governor also announced the creation of Ministry of Transport to fast track his transformation agenda on economic development of the State.

In his vote of thanks one of the commissioner, who was appointed for the second term, Dr Idris Omede, thanked the governor and promised that they will build on his transformation agenda positively.
