The former Oyo State Governor, Mr Adebayo Alao-Akala has dissociated the Oyo State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from the purported impeachment plan of the State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, by a faction of the state House of Assembly.
The former governor was speaking from Ijebu Igbo ,Ogun state, south west Nigeria, after a meeting with the chairman of the PDP mobilization and organization committee, Prince Buruji Kashamu, party supporters and officials in the State.
He also expressed his plans to contest the governorship race in the State in 2015, saying that the current administration in the state is only buying time.
Meanwhile in the face of the on-going realignment and maneuvering among political camps, the Ogun State chapter of the PDP has denied any immediate plan to merge with any political party in the build up to the general elections in the state.
The State chapter also vowed to give the ruling party a good fight to reclaim the state from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
