Beyoncé To Receive Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award

MTV Base announced on Thursday, August 7,  that global international sensation, Beyoncé, would receive the legendary Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Beyoncé, who leads the pack this year with eight VMA nominations, will be presented with the highly coveted Video Vanguard Award, joining a prestigious list of past recipients including Michael Jackson, Madonna, Peter Gabriel, R.E.M., Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Britney Spears and JustinTimberlake.

Mrs Carter’s triumphant return to the MTV VMA stage marks her fourth time performing on the loudest, most influential annual live celebration of music in the world.

The event, which will take place in Inglewood, California, on Sunday August 24, would also have previously announced 2014 “MTV Video Music Award” performers like Usher, Ariana Grande, 5 Seconds of Summer and Maroon 5.

Additional performers and presenters would be announced on a later date.
