The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the death of five members of a family who died in mysterious circumstances at Temidire, Sabo community in Abeokuta North Local Government area of Ogun State.
Mr Aliu Adebayo in his 50s was found dead with his second wife and three children in his six-room apartment located at No. 3, Ireti Akinbode Street, Temidire.
It was gathered that the first wife raised the alarm to attract neighbours that her husband, co-wife and step-children could not get up.
Neighbors and sympathisers, have, however, accused the first wife of having a hand in the death of the family members.
Confirming the incident, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said that the command would carry out a post-Morten to unravel the circumstances surrounding the matter.
He said: “There are speculations about what transpired, all I can assure you is that the Police would do the needful to get to the root of the matter”.
