jude abagaPopular rapper, Jude Agaba also known as M.I, has said that the stunts he pulled on the social media platform ( Twitter), that he was leaving the music industry was a way of getting the attention of his fans.

He explained that the idea was for him to to tell his fans that “election season is round the corner and I wanted to tell my fans that before people campaign to you, be sure the kind of leaders you want to elect”.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Saturday Sunrise, M.I said that his single, King James was a reference from Lebron James not the Bible, but means “when you’re lost in Hip-Hop and wondering the balance between Hip-Hop and commercial, just go back to wherever point you started making music from”.

Born into a christian home, M.I said his parents made him read a lot because when growing up. “We had no television so it gave me an opportunity to read and get into music together with my younger brother Jesse Jags”.

M.I also cleared the air on his silence after the release of his single Chairman.  He explained that after the release of the single, there was a change in the label which started with Jesse Jags leaving the record label. “It sort of changed the dynamics of the label and I needed sometime to reassess and know what I wanted to do.”
