Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi, has called on Rivers State residents across political divides to fully participate in the Permanent Voters Card collection and continuous registration exercise in the state.
The governor stated this in a meeting with journalists in Port Harcourt.
According to him, the exercise presents an opportunity for the people to arm themselves and ventilate their grievances or show their support for their party of choice as the case may be.
Governor Amaechi however said even when he was a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), he had always refused to follow the norm, which according to him was against his conscience.
