APCThe All Progressives Congress  (APC) on Wednesday held a rally to woo voters ahead of the 2015 general elections, urging Nigerians to vote out the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from power during the 2015 general elections.

Leaders of the party gathered at the Eagle Square, Abuja, to tell Nigerians that only the APC has the ability to restore true democracy in Nigeria.

The APC presidential aspirant, Gen Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd) told supporters that after the years it has held onto power, the PDP has nothing to show for it’s leadership and must voted out.

He further noted that the “APC are out to stablise this multiparty system by voting out “ adding that “if you want to have a secure nation, vote PDP out” he said, insisting that “no alternative”.

Gen Buhari also urged Nigerians to make sure they get their voters card and “vote those you want to represent you and lead you and make sure your vote counts”, he said.

While the national leader of the party, Mr Ogbonnaya Onu, believes that only the interest of the nation can be put first when the country’s election are free and fair.

Mr Onu stressed that “Nigeria is greater than any individual”, adding that “leaders come and go but the nation remains.

“Every leader must put the interest of his people first; if Ghana can organise a free and fair elections, Nigeria should; if Senegal can organise free and fair elections, Nigeria can and if Zambia can organise free and fair elections, Nigeria must.

“Today the APC is calling on Nigerians to make it mandatory on the ruling party that the general elections of 2015 must be free and fair”, he said.

Meanwhile, the National Chairman of the APC, has also asked Nigerians to partner with the APC to bring about change in the country by ensuring they participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise.

He noted that the “time to act is before February 15, 2015”, maintaining that Nigerians should collect their permanent voter cards and insist on their right to vote .
