Human TraffickingLawmakers at the House of Representatives say the shift in the resumption of the House from recess will not affect the passage of the 2015 budget and other legislation pending before the National Assembly.

The House, which was to resume from recess on Wednesday December 3, announced a shift in date to Tuesday, December 16.

The lawmakers say the shift is to allow them participate in the  primaries for the 2015 elections.

Some lawmakers say the new date is to allow lawmakers focus on party primaries.

The concern of most Nigerians would be the fate of most of the bills before the House. It is a concern the lawmakers try to put to rest.

When the National Assembly resumes on the newly announced date, most Nigerians would be interested in seeing how much they are able to do before the year comes to an end.
