The Elders forum of the Kwara State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has urged the national leadership of the party to ensure that there is no imposition of governorship candidate in the state.

They stated that a level playing field for all aspirants to contest in a transparent primary would guarantee the victory of the party in the 2015 governorship election in the state.

The Deputy Chairman of the Kwara PDP Elders Forum, Ayinla Folorunsho, during a press conference in reaction to the aborted PDP primary in the state, noted that the approved statutory and Adhoc delegate list should be maintained.

According to him any rescheduled primary should hold in Ilorin, while accreditation and voting should take place at the same venue.

He added that identification of authentic delegates should be done by the respective 16 Local Government chairmen at the venue of the election.
