The Governor of Nasarawa State, Tanko Al-makura, has named Mr Silas Agara as his running mate in the 2015 governorship election in the state.
The choice of Mr Agara was made after a meeting of party leaders and governorship aspirants in the just concluded primary elections, as a way of reconciling all interest ahead of the general elections.
Announcing Governor Al-makura’s running mate on Sunday, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, said the choice of Mr Agara was reached after wide consultations.
Mr Agara, who is also from Akwanga Local Government, replaces Mr Dameshi Luka, the present deputy governor who defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party early this year.
