BuhariThe presidential flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Retired General Muhammadu Buhari, has notified the Federal High Court in Abuja of his plans to file preliminary objection to the suits challenging his eligibility to contest the election.

Buhari, through his counsel, Wole Olanipekun (SAN), is also challenging the order of substituted service on his client by the court, on the grounds that the election has been postponed and there is no urgency to warrant a substituted service.

This development came up in court when the case was called for mention.

Having listened to both parties, Justice Adeniyi Ademola adjourned to February 23 for all parties to filed the necessary processes in court with regards to the suit .

Barrister Max Ozoaka approached the High Court seeking a pronouncement on the eligibility of General Muhammadu Buhari on the allegation that he lied that he obtained the West African School Certificate and the said certificate was in the custody of the Nigerian Army, which denied the claims.
