APCIt was a war of words in Ondo State on Monday, ahead of the governorship polls that will hold on Saturday, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, are accusing each other of planning to scuttle the House of Assembly elections in the state.

While the APC accused the PDP of a plot to use militants to disrupt the election, the latter also alleged that the APC was deceptively attracting voters’ sympathies.

The APC, in a statement in Akure signed by its Publicity Secretary, Omo’Oba Adesanya, said the PDP-led government in the state had imported militants to destabilise the poll and scare away voters on election day.

The APC also claimed that the PDP had invited all the INEC ad-hoc staff in the state to induce them with money.

However, the PDP in the state has reacted to the allegations, stating that the APC was making frivolous claims and allegations which amounted to ‘crying wolf’.
