APGAThe spokesperson of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Campaign in Abia State, Mr Ahamdi Nweke, says the party is not divided.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Thursday, Mr Nweke said that APGA in Abia State has one chairman and the affairs of the party is currently overseen by Uchenna Okogbo, the National Vice Chairman, South-East, adding that the APGA has been healthy and thriving.

According to him, “There is no doubt, APGA is going to win the (governorship and State Assembly) election just as we won in the National Assembly elections.”

Responding to the allegation that the APGA had earlier endorsed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, Mr. Nweke explained that the former state chairman of the party, Mr Ukaegbu played a “cheap trick” by making such pronouncement.

Mr Nweke asked: “When you don’t have a PDP ward executive, local government executive, state executive, how on earth do you have PDP in Abia State?”

In a response to Mr Nweke’s question, a member of the PDP, Dr Eme Okoro, said that APGA is a very confused party.

Joining the conversation via the telephone, he also accused Mr Nweke of castigating the state governor, Theodore Orji, whom he once supported as an astute stakeholder of the PDP.
