Governor Amosun stated this while monitoring the exercise on Saturday in Abeokuta, the state’s capital during his on the spot assessment of the extent of damage caused by a rainstorm in the state capital on Friday and compliance to restriction of movement order.
The Governor added that restriction of movement must be strictly adhered to by residents and travelers to the state in order not to run foul of the laws.
Areas visited by the Governor, his wife, Olufunso Amosun, Commissioner for Environment, Ayo Olubori and other top government functionaries include, Oba Lipede Market, OPIC Building, Amolaso area in the Abeokuta metropolis,among others.
While thanking God that no life was lost and that the injured ones had been discharged from the hospital, the Governor promised that the present administration would do the needful in coming to the aid of affected property owners after proper evaluation.
