Officials of the Central Bank of Nigeria have flagged off the distribution of 2% of the 220 billion naira Small and Medium Enterprise Development Fund to physically challenged persons in the country.
Speaking at the meeting in Abuja, the Special Adviser to the C.B.N Governor on Development Finance, Mr Paul Eluhaiwe, said that the initiative is targeted at ensuring the inclusion of the vulnerable group of Nigerians into the nation’s economy.
While expressing optimism that the MSME funds will be channelled towards job creation, and poverty reduction in the country, Mr Eluhaiwe said that over 60 billion naira of the MSME funds has been disbursed to some beneficiaries across the country.
