NEMAThe National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Nigeria is asking for quick deployment of trauma management experts to counsel the 275 women and children at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Yola, Adamawa State capital.

The IDPs are currently at the Malkohi camp in Yola for rehabilitation.

The camp Coordinator, Mr Sa’ad Bello said that the victims required urgent services of trauma experts, and wants the experts to urgently volunteer their services, to ease the stress of the inmates and fast track their healing process.

The camp coordinator added that six of the rescued victims are pregnant while 21 are nursing mothers.

According to Mr Bello, 158 of the victims were found to be suffering from different ailments after medical checkup on arrival at the camp.

NEMA had given assurance that the rescued persons would be taken care of under tight security.
