Scores of youths supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State stormed the party’s headquarters to protest what they call an attempt by the party to thwart the general wish of the people of Asari Toru Local Government Area (LGA).

The youths threatened to throw spanner in the wheel of progress of the LG elections, if the party insists on following a minority voice of some of their leaders without recourse to the democratic process for selfish reasons.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says 17 LGAs now know who their representatives are, while the results for 6 LGAs are inconclusive.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won all the seats in 16 LGAs while the All Progressives Congress (APC) has Eleme LGA in their kitty.
