TUCThe National Leadership of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) has finally broken the silence on the factional leadership crisis rocking the Osun State chapter of the union.

Addressing members of the Union at a peace parley in Osogbo, the Osun State capital in South-western part of Nigeria, the National President of the TUC, Mr Bobboi B. Kaigama, said the two factional leaders have agreed to sheath their sword and allow peace to reign.

Mr Kaigama, who admonished the workers to forget all that had transpired in the past two years within the union, urged them to close ranks and fight the challenges of unpaid salaries facing the workers in the state, rather than waging an internal war.

He noted that the welfare of the workers ought to be the primary concern of any true leader and not selfish gains, which ultimately leads to chaos.

However, the factional leaders, Mr Francis Adetunji and Mr Akinyemi Olatunji, embraced each other, pledging to work together for the progress of the union towards achieving a common goal in the interest of Osun State workers.
