internally-displaced-persons-NEMA (1)Members of the communities affected by militia attacks in some villages in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau state have received relief materials from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

The materials is expected to cushion the effect of the attack as well as bring succour to the people.

Items presented to the displaced persons by NEMA, include food stuff, clothing, bedding materials as well as roofing materials for those that their houses were destroyed.

A Member of the House of Representatives in Langtan North/South Constituency assured the people of an investigative panel by the legislature, with a view to curb future occurrence and also exploit all avenues of reporting the matter to the human rights commissions for investigation.

A resident of Kadarko, Yakman Useni, who lost his house and farm produce commended the efforts of government in bringing succour to the people affected by the attack.

Other residents expressed delight that the National Assembly will launch an investigation to unravel the immediate causes of the attack on these villages. They also expect the findings and recommendations be implemented and those indicted are appropriately punished to serve as deterrent to others.
