Rivers House Of AssemblyThe Rivers State House of Assembly has again differed the interrogation of nine commissioners it summoned last week.

It is the second time that the lawmakers are postponing the interrogation.

The postponement is coming 11 days to the end of the 7th Assembly of the State House of Assembly.

Though five of the summoned commissioners appeared at the session presided over by the Deputy Speaker of the State’s Assembly, Leyii Kwane, the Leader of the House, Honourable Chidi Loyde, told the members present that the documents submitted to him by the commissioners for the review of the House were still in his custody.

Mr Loyde stated that the documents would be made available to his colleagues in the next 48 hours.

Meanwhile, the Assembly had last week moved for an adjournment when only two commissioners out of the summoned nine appeared before the lawmakers.

Commissioners present at the sitting were the commissioners of works, information, power and agriculture.

Similarly, the Chairman of Rivers State Internal Revenue Board was also available for debriefing.

However, no date was fixed for the next sitting for the commissioners to explain the issues behind report of financial crunch in the state.
