Seven More Schools Advance In Channels Kids Cup Lagos Prelims

Channels-National-Kids-CupEnyeanugie Primary School from Edo State defeated Research Model Primary School from Kaduna State to win the Season Seven of the Channels National Kids Cup.

The final match played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos State on Wednesday ended 2-0 in favour of the Edo State team.

Samuel Edide and Miracle Cabila scored the two goals for the team to secure the victory in the highly contested competition.

Kaduna team had defeated Christ the King Primary School, Akwa Ibom, in the Semi-Final game played on Tuesday, with 5-4 goal margin in a penalty shoot-out.

For Enyeanugie Primary School, their Semi-Final tie against Nana Primary School of Delta State was a fierce encounter.

In an earlier game for the third place match, Christ the King, Akwa-Ibom State, defeated Nana Primary School from Delta State.

Before the final match, Channels FC and Eko Football team, locked horns in a novelty match that ended 1-1.

Channels team took the lead in the first half of the game, with a goal by Williams Osewezina, but the Eko team came back in the second half, with an equalizer.
