5.9 Magnitude Quake Strikes Off Japan

An earthquake measuring 5.9 magnitude has struck off the North-east coast of Japan on Monday.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

The U.S. Geological survey says the quake was 80 km (50 miles) deep and centered 132 km (82 miles) North North-east of Hachinohe, Honshu.
