court on IPMAN leadership The Court of Appeal, sitting in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Capital, has adjourned till November 18, the case between two factions of the leadership of the National Executive Committee of the Independent Petroleum Marketers of Nigeria (IPMAN).

Counsel to the Chinedu Okoronkwo-led Executive Committee Mr John Odubela, said it was unfortunate that the court was unable to sit on Friday.

He said the sitting would have availed his client the opportunity to take some applications that were pending on the matter, following the misguided steps taken by the respondents.‎

Mr Odubela said the steps taken by the respondents were likely to derail the court and throw the court into a state of helplessness, having generated a false letter from the former Minister of Labour, Joel Ikenya.

The counsel further claimed that the previous administration had endorsed the candidacy of Chief Obasi Lawson, the other factional leader.
