The wife of Nigeria’s President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has held a reception for women and youths of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The reception was an appreciation of the overwhelming support given to the APC in the last general elections.
Present at the reception were wives of state governors, members of the National Assembly and party faithful.
The APC Women Leader, Hajia Ramatu Tijani and wife of the Vice-President, Dolapo Osinbajo, advised that the party leadership must ensure they deliver on the change they promised Nigerians, which includes the rescue of Chibok girls and women.
Prominent persons who also attended the dinner included; former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Ameachi who was the Chairman of the occasion and wife of Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, Hajia Asmau Yari.
Others were wife of the Imo State governor, Mrs. Nkechi Okorocha, Dr. Hajon Sani, wife of the APC National Chairman, Victoria John Oyegun, wife of Speaker of the House of Representatives, Gimbia Dogara, wife of the Senate President, Toyin Saraki and Bola Tinubu who was represented by Femi Ojudu.
