Court JusticeNewly appointed justices of the Federal and State High Courts and Khadis of the Sharia Court of Appeal in Nigeria have been advised to abide by the code of conduct, as they begin their work as judges.

At the induction ceremony held in Abuja on Monday, Chief Justice Mahmud Mohammed vowed that anyone found wanting would be severely dealt with.

He urged the newly appointed legal officers to ensure that they would dispense with cases speedily and also ensure that ‘justice is done’.

Also addressing the new judges the administrator of the National Judicial Institute, Justice Roselyn Bozimo, advised them to imbibe the culture of value and integrity.

She stressed that the new law officers were expected to bring to use the lessons learnt from the induction in the conduct of their duties to the nation.
