Gov. Ikpeazu Says Christmas Is Season Of Giving

Okezie IkpeazuThe Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has revealed plans to engage expertise on the use of ICT to checkmate crime in the state.

Gov. Ikpeazu made this known to the members of the Sixth Abia House of Assembly during their first courtesy call and meeting at the Executive Chambers of the Government House Umuahia.

While the speaker for the Sixth Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Martins Azubuike said their visit was to formally present the House to the Governor after their inauguration and elucidated on issues and challenges that need urgent attentions.

According to Governor Ikpeazu , the legislature is very vital in carrying out what the government intends to build for a better state that can boost of infrastructural development and economy empowerment.

The governor charged the legislators to diminish self and place the interest of the state first through a stable and supportive House.

He assured them that the government will find resourceful ways of dealing with issues of insecurity especially kidnapping and other criminal vices. Hinting that he will liaise with the House in the establishment of a Security Trust Fund and promised to do everything to ensure that the legislators excel in their constituencies.
