Mr Nwoye lamented that the division had denied them the executive position of the state which they held before.

He also expressed grieve on the Anambra State House of Assembly election in which only three out of 30 seats were won by PDP candidates, after a re-run election was conducted.

The former party chairman further stressed the need to do away with factions, conduct a staggered Ward and Local Governments congresses and ensure that the National Working Committee of the party conduct the congresses with outright liberation.

Similarly, former State Secretary of the party, Tony- Mcroy Akachukwu, said that the time for apportioning blame had gone but time for self-examination and focus beckoned.

The Zonal Women Leader of the papty, Anthonia Nwankwo, also advised that women should be allowed to contest.

Mr Nwoye, however, commended the courage of the party to face their problems and approved the resolve of the party to move into the Wards and Local Governments to mobilise ahead of the congress.
