The agency’s appeal is coming as Nigeria joins the rest of the world to mark the World Population Day.
Chairman of the commission, Eze Duruiheoma, made the call on Thursday in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, to mark the event tagged ‘Vulnerable Population in Emergencies’.
Mr Duruiheoma said that government at all levels must work together to address the plight of the vulnerable population, including the IDPs.
He also urged the government to step up the fight against insurgencies in the country.
