23 suspects arrested for various offences in Ogun State, South West Nigeria, including a 40 year-old ritualist caught with human skull, have been paraded by the Ogun State Police Command in Abeokuta, the state capital
Parading the suspects, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Abdulmajid Ali, said the suspects were arrested while perpetrating their nefarious activities at different locations in the state
While assuring residents of adequate protection of life and property, the CP however ordered men and officers of the command to shoot at sight any confirmed suspects found to be disturbing the peace of the residents of the state
Seven of the suspects were paraded for alleged murder, 10 for cultism, two were unlawfully found in possession of human skull, including a 40-year old herbalist.
The suspects were paraded with dangerous weapons, including guns, cutlasses, charms among others that were allegedly seized from them.
While some of them owned up to the crime, others however denied any involvement
The Commissioner of Police also hinted that a suspect has been arrested and arraigned in court in connection with the murder of a popular market leader killed in Ijebu Ode a month ago
