The Federal Government has again reassured Nigerians that, with the mechanism put in place, insurgency in the north-east would be brought to an end in three Months.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, re-echoed this assurance at the reception organised in his honour in Ipetumodu town of Osun State on Saturday.
Mr Adesina told reporters that all the criticisms of the Peoples Democratic Party would not defocus the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said: “It will rather help to propel the President to achieve all the promises made to Nigerians”.
The President’s spokesman pointed out that though the President appeared to be slow in his manner of governance, the people, over time, will be glad they voted President Buhari to power.
President Buhari had on August 13 gave the newly appointed Service Chiefs three months to terminate the activities of Boko Haram in the north-east.
He gave the marching order after decorating the officers whose appointments were announced two months ago.
The Boko Haram sect for over five years now have carried out series of attacks on communities, places of worship and public places, displacing over one million persons in the region.
They are attempting to establish an Islamic state and end western education in the region.
Due to increase counter-terrorism operations to decimate the terrorists, they recently resorted to suicide bombing.
