The Anambra State Government has mapped out 28 camps where Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) will take refuge in the event of the impending flood announced by the Federal Government.
This was disclosed by the Executive Secretary of the Anambra State Emergency Management Agency, Mr Paul Odenigbo, in a joint meeting of the Executive Council, Security Council, Local Government Administrators and the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), in Awka, the state capital, on Wednesday.
The meeting, which was presided over by Governor Willie Obiano, focused on how to ensure the safety of lives and property of the citizenry, who may be affected by the floods.
The State Government, according to Mr Odenigbo, would also embark on more enlightenment campaigns to all the nooks and crannies of the state.
