police-on suspectsThe Imo State Police command has reunited 3 months old baby Chijioke Chukwuka with his mother.

The baby was said to have been sold out to a buyer at the sum of 750,000 naira after the mother Chizoba Nnadogu aged 25 delivered him at Onyebuchi Maternity Clinic, Umuhu Okabia in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo state.

While returning the baby to his biological mother and also parading the child trafficking syndicates at the Imo State police command in Owerri the Imo state capital, south east Nigeria, the new Commissioner for Police in the the state Taiwo Lakanu said he has noted with great concern the high level of child trafficking and child stealing that has become a major money making business for some criminals in the state.

He said henceforth, the command will stop at nothing to ensure these child traffickers are brought to book and the business is eradicated in the state, he called on all Imo indigenes to support the police with adequate information on how crime and other criminal activities could be combated in the state.

Meanwhile, the Ebonyi State Commissioner of Police, Peace Abdallah also paraded some suspected kidnappers who have been terrorizing the peace of Ebonyi state in recent times.

Parading the suspects alongside some other suspected criminals at the command headquarters in Abakaliki the Ebonyi state capital south east Nigeria, the Commissioner of Police Peace Abdallah said the arrest followed a tip off by members of the public as men of the anti-kidnapping squad of the Ebonyi State Police Command swung into action and 2 members of the gang who planned to collect the proposed ransom were nabbed.

She warned that henceforth there shall no be hiding place for kidnappers or related criminals in the state.
