PDPOver 100,000 former members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, including the former State Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Tony Ukasanya, have decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to the decampees, their priority agenda was to give an optimal support to the APC to reclaim the state from the PDP.

The State Chairman of APC, Donatus Nwankpa, expressed delight at the change taking place in the party and felt challenged at the enormous support of the people.

He also promised to ensure that everyone is well integrated into the party.

However, the Abia State Chairman of the PDP, Emma Nwaka, disclosed that the decampees’ decision to leave the party was inconsequential because they did not work for the party during the last election.

While stating that the PDP would not miss them at all, he hinted that he would be waiting to receive them back in no distant time.
