Buratai Praises Troops' Effort Against Insurgents In AdamawaThe Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, has lauded the performance of officers and men of the Nigerian Army spread across various formations in Adamawa State.

He also praised the Nigerian Army’s contributions to war against the Boko Haram insurgents in Nigeria’s Northeast region.

General Buratai, was on tour of states affected by terrorists activities in the region visited troops in Mubi to encourage them in the crusade.

Accompanied by the Theater Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Brigadier General Mohammed Abubakar and other high ranking officers, the Army chief promised that logistics support and welfare of the troops will be taken care of.

He reminded them of the need to remain dedicated and professional in sweeping out the remaining pockets of terrorists in the country.

General Buratai also visited the Emir of Mubi Emirate, Dr. Abubakar Ahmadu, CFI, where he appreciated the Emirate for supporting the military in their fight to end insurgency as well as promising that the military would bring the insurgency to an end in line with their mandate.

President Muhammadu Buhari had expressed confidence that by the end of the year, Boko Haram’s ability to attack, seize, ravage and hold any Nigerian territory would be completely obliterated.

The Army chief also said earlier the military is working hard to succeed in meeting up with the December deadline of defeating the Boko Haram insurgents in spite of the renewed bombings by suspected members of the terrorist group.
