Kwara Governor Swears In Permanent SecretariesKwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, has sworn-in 14 newly appointed Permanent Secretaries with a call on them to exhibit required leadership and entrench best practices of due process, accountability and transparency in the service.

Performing the ceremony at the Council Chamber of the Government House, Ilorin, Governor Ahmed said that the appointment of the new permanent secretaries was informed by the fact that they had been active participants in the administration of the state, whose reliability and commitment to the service was apparent.

Governor Ahmed, who expressed concern over the persistent drop in monthly allocation urged the government officials to champion the renewed drive for prudent and judicious utilisation of public resources as well as enhanced revenue generation.

He emphasised the need for prudence and other adjustments to the new economic realities, pointing out that the economic survival and sustenance of Kwara State was a task that must be achieved with the participation of all citizens.

The Governor tasked them to bring to bear sterling qualities in the rigorous pursuit of the shared prosperity programme of the present administration for the benefit of the populace.
