The Nasarawa State Government will begin the upgrading of medical and structural facilities at the Maraba Guruku General Hospital which has been designated a referral centre to the Abuja National Hospital.
Governor Tanko Al-Makura gave the hint about the development while in a meeting with the hospital management during a working visit to the hospital in Karu Local Government on Wednesday.
The Governor also met with some patients at the hospital on his arrival, assuring them of better days ahead. He told them they would receive standard medical services in the public hospital.
Al-Makura also met with stakeholders at the Karu International Market, to put finishing touches in place at the market, ahead of its commissioning by President Muhammadu Buhari.
