parisFrench investigators have identified one of the attackers who killed 129 people in Paris.

29-year-old French citizen, Omar Ismail Mostefai, who was named by local media and a French parliamentarian, had a criminal record and was known to have been radicalised.

Mostefai was identified by investigators, after his severed fingertip was found at the Bataclan concert hall, where three of the attackers blew themselves up.

Friday’s attacks, claimed by Islamic State (IS) militants, hit a concert hall, a major stadium, restaurants and bars in the French capital, leaving at least 129 people dead, and over 35o people injured.

The French President, Francois Hollande, described the attacks in Paris as an ‘act of war’ by the militant group.

He added that the attacks were “organised and planned from outside”.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, also condemned the attack, and extended “sincere condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the unfortunate victims of the callous attacks”.
