Jonathan’s Former Adviser Sues PDP Over Committee ConstituentA former political adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr Ahmed Gulak, has sued the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), querying the composition of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

Mr Gulak’s decision to drag the party before a Federal High Court in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, seems to be more trouble for the opposition PDP.

No date has been fixed for the hearing of the suit.

An originating summons filed on behalf of the former president’s aide revealed that Gulak was challenging the composition of the NWC of the party led by Mr Uche Secondus, having indicated interest to contest the PDP’s chairmanship position.

Gulak asked the court to declare that the resignation of the former chairman of the party, Mr Ahmed Muazu, had created a vacuum which could only be filled by a proper election into the office of the national chairman of the party.
