Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, commended the pace of work at the dualisation of Nnebisi Road to Cable Point during an inspection visit in Asaba.
Speaking in Asaba, the Delta State capital in Nigeria’s southern region, Governor Okowa gave the assurance that the project would be completed within three months.
He revealed that his administration had started lots of ongoing projects at the moment with about four roads being awarded in Okpe Local Government Area (LGA) and other LGAs in the state.
The Governor was accompanied by his Deputy, Barrister Kingsley Otuaro, some commissioners and other top government officials to the inspection of the ongoing road projects.
He disclosed his plans to tackle erosion while explaining that the current surface drains cannot meaningfully take care of the water during the rainy season.
Governor Okowa said that measures had been put in place to ensure that all contractors handling road projects in the state deliver quality work.
