The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, says Anambra state has set a worthy pace in security management in Nigeria which other state executives, especially those in the Southeast, should emulate.
He made this known during the commissioning of twenty five specially equipped American-styled patrol cars with special kits for the Police Response Team, which has speed guns to detect over speeding and alcohol detecting Device, donated by Anambra state government.
Th cars were handed over to the Anambra State Police Command for enhanced police visibility in every area of the state as well as counter any threat to individual or collective security and safety.
Governor Willie Obiano also maintains that the latest security development in the state is a strong narrative of his commitment to ensure that crime and criminality becomes a thing of the past.
Deputy Governor, Dr. Nkem Okeke shared the security exploits of the current administration while the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hassan Karma, gave an insight into what the advanced security cars can do in saving lives.
The cars were commissioned and test driven by the governor in company of the Inspector General of Police who also commended the governor’s efforts.
