The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has condemned the just concluded and submitted army report set up to look into the roles played by some soldiers during the Ekiti , Osun, Rivers and Akwa Ibom States governorship elections.
Reacting to the outcome of the panel, Governor Fayose described it as politically motivated.
He further stated that the international communities had rated Ekiti 2014 and 2015 governorship election as the best so far in the country.
Governor Fayose appealed with the interested parties to allow peace to reign in the state.
A board of inquiry set up by the Nigerian Army to review allegations of unprofessional conducts by some officers and soldiers during the 2015 elections has recommended some sanctions for erring officials in its report submitted on Monday.
The Board set up by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, after a thorough job submitted its report to the Chief of Army Staff at the Army Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
