CityManchester City manager, Manuel Pellegrini, says his side will expect a tough match against struggling side, Sunderland in Tuesday night’s English Premier League match at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland lie second from bottom of the Premier League while City are second from top, three points behind Leicester City.

City have a tough fixture list in February following the Sunderland clash, hosting leaders Leicester before facing Tottenham Hotspur the following week and then an FA Cup clash with Chelsea.

Pellegrini’s statement is also coming after Manchester City confirmed that Pep Guardiola would replace the Chilean as their new manager this summer.

City said they had finalised contractual negotiations with the former Barcelona gaffer to become the head coach for the 2016/2017 EPL season onward.

Guardiola will take over at the Etihad Stadium on a three-year deal with Pellegrini set to officially depart on June 30.
